Phillip Stokes (23), known as Felipe, is one of Atlanta’s hottest up & coming entertainers. Spanish for Phillip, Felipe was inspired by “his sexy Spanish teacher” as she refused to speak English in class.
Felipe created a major buzz from his debut solo 2016 album, “The Only One,” which has accumulated over 500K+ streams and caught the attention of Spotify’s Urban manager – which led to several premium playlist features. In addition, he recently opened for 2017’s fan favorites: 21 Savage, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, UnoTheActivist & K Camp.
The Eastside Atlanta native is no stranger to music, however. His father successfully produced hits for Goodie Mob & Mixzo (“Shawty Swing My Way”) & at 15 yrs. old his childhood friend, rapper – Nessly, encouraged him to record his first music on his mom’s computer.
Felipe continued to perfect his craft, and in 2013, caught the attention of an infamous rap crew known as the Hood Rich Clikk (HRC) –which had a highly respected street reputation & exceptional talent, including the likes of 21 Savage. During his stint with HRC, Felipe would spend most of his time at the studio or hanging around the nearby 2100 block, a notorious area in Atlanta during that time. HRC later disbanded due to internal issues.
Felipe later released his single “I Want it All,”which caught the attention of Mixtape Monopoly’s CEO, DJ Genius. They later released a joint mixtape entitled, “A Eastside Story.” 700K+ streams later, Felipe is ready to take the world by storm & plans to drop his next album, “The Only One 2” in Winter 2018.
